Labor Day weekend podcast: Recapping the Ravens last preseason game & some final roster predictions

Welcome to a special bonus episode of the Charm City Bird Watch Podcast with site owner Jake McDonnell, editor Nolan McGraw, and author Ian Schultz.

The Ravens wrapped up their preseason on Thursday by defeating the Redskins 30-20 and we couldn’t wait to unpack the action. Instead of recapping everything on next week’s show, we decided to get our thoughts out in a special bonus episode. Consider it our gift to you as you enjoy a three-day weekend.

The show begins with a recap of some injuries that took place on Thursday including Stanley Jean Baptiste and Kenny Young (6:10). How will these injuries impact the teams decision when it comes to making roster cuts? Jake, Nolan and Ian give their thoughts.

After that the trio goes into the usual trending segment by highlighting who made an impact in the final preseason game and who did not (12:20). The conversation then switches to the future as the crew gives their final predictions as to who will make the 53-man roster (26:36).

The episode concludes with some more fantasy football talk as former Charm City Bird Watch writer, Tyler Feeser calls in (38:40). In episode 14 the crew spent some time highlighting a few Ravens players you could take in your draft. Tyler adds his thoughts to that conversation and also provides some under the radar fantasy picks of his own.

You can find the Charm City Bird Watch Podcast on SoundCloudiTunes, and Google Play. Please leave us a review on iTunes, we love to hear your feedback and may read it on a future episode. Thank you for listening!
