During the first half of Thursday’s game against the Redskins, cornerback Stanley Jean-Baptiste suffered an arm injury that forced him to leave the game. Following the Ravens 30-20 victory over Washington, John Harbaugh stated that it appears Jean-Baptiste has a broken arm but the cornerback will undergo further evaluation on Friday.

Jean-Baptiste was a candidate to make the final roster following a strong preseason in which he recorded 12 tackles and two interceptions. The Jimmy Smith suspension also helped his cause as it opened up a spot in the secondary’s depth chart. Now the Ravens will have to decide if they want to fill the hole or carry just five cornerbacks and use the roster spot elsewhere.

The Ravens managed to make it more than halfway through the preseason without any major injury scares but in the last few weeks they have started to pile up. Hayden Hurst and Willie Henry suffered injuries that will have them sidelined for the foreseeable future, while DeShon Elliott will join Jean-Baptiste in the injured reserve list after breaking his arm against Miami last Saturday.
