We start the show with figuring out what went wrong for the Maryland Terps in their recent losses to Michigan and Penn State (5:30). Maryland fans seem to take shots at head coach Mark Turgeon after every game, no matter the outcome. Is the criticism justified?
Up next, Jake welcomes in this week’s guest, Villanova University graduate student Mike Horvath, aka “Horv” (24:14). Horv graduated from Bloomsburg University in the same class as Jake and is now enrolled into the Charles Widger School of Law at Villanova. A Philadelphia Sports fan, Horv and Jake talk about Bryce Harper signing with the Phillies, the latest surrounding the #23 Villanova Wildcats, Nick Foles possibly signing with the Jaguars, and Carson Wentz‘s outlook for 2019.
Our next segment checks in on the Orioles as Spring Training continues in Sarasota (55:09). We react to Chris Davis‘s slow start to 2019 and try to predict who will win the position battles at catcher, shortstop, third base, and the outfield.
Unfortunately, the Ravens released safety Eric Weddle about two hours after we finished recording the show. Although we didn’t get a chance to cover that announcement, we did talk about Baltimore’s decision to not use the franchise tag on C.J. Mosley (1:17:16).
After we read some hot takes from the peanut gallery (1:26:21), we wrapped up the show with the numbers segment (1:31:55), taking a look back at the best Baltimore Sports athletes who wore the number 41.
