Welcome to Episode 54 of the Charm City Bird Watch Podcast with Jake McDonnellNolan McGraw, and Ian Schultz.

This week we kicked off the show by talking about the Orioles taking Adley Rutschman first overall in the 2019 MLB draft (2:45). There is a lot of hype surrounding Rutschman as he prepares to begin his major league career and we are just as excited as everyone else to see what he can do for the O’s.

The draft wasn’t the only thing to happen in Birdland this past week as the Orioles made some significant roster moves. Chance Sisco has been called up and will be making his 2019 debut in the coming days. In addition to that Chris Davis is back from a short stint on the IL and Mark Trumbo appears to be shooting for a return sometime later this month. We give you our thoughts on all of these moves (16:35) as well as our players and stinkers of the week (25:35).

This week we were happy to welcome on Bob Haynie from 105.7 The Fan to give us his take on the Orioles drafting Rutschman as well as his thoughts on the potential return of Trumbo. We also found some time to talk a little Ravens football and get his opinion on Lamar Jackson’s development going into 2019 (34:25).

Before winding things down we gave some quick thoughts on the Ravens losing the Gerald McCoy sweepstakes. McCoy decided to sign a one-year deal with the Panthers, leaving Ravens and Browns fans very disappointed (49:30).

Finally, the show wraps up with the weekly numbers segment where Jake quizzes Nolan and Ian to see if they can remember certain Baltimore Sports athletes who wore number 53 (54:00)
