Recently, Eisenberg wrote his ninth book, The Streak: Lou Gehrig, Cal Ripken Jr., and Baseball’s Most Historic Record. Eisenberg’s book dives into the record that will never be broken; Cal Ripken’s streak of 2,632 consecutive games played. Ripken surpassed Lou Gehrig’s record by 502 games. Ripken breaking the record at 2,131 games is perhaps the most significant record in Baltimore Sports history. After completing this project, what has the reaction been out of Baltimore and around the baseball world? What was the hardest part of writing this book? Does John have any other projects in the works? Hear this and more.
After talking about the book, Eisenberg gives us a breakdown of the Ravens as they get ready to face the Redskins on Thursday. What’s up with Joe Flacco? Will Ozzie Newsome make another addition with having the least amount of salary cap space in the NFL? How impressive does the defense look in camp? This makes for another jam-packed episode.
